Owhata Primary is located on the East side of Rotorua and caters for students from Years 1 to 6. The school roll is currently around 220.

The school provides rumaki education as an integral part of the school with three rumaki classes.

We promote a warm and inclusive learning environment, and parents are actively encouraged to participate and contribute to the life of the school.

Our students have many opportunities to experience success in a range of academic, sporting and cultural activities.

We at Owhata School provide a positive environment for the learner, and we have a strong positive behaviour programme focussed on student well being – PB4L.
